Description
Southwestern Chicken is a kid-friendly family favorite that is so easy to make. Just throw a bunch of spices and some olive oil in a ziplock bag and pan fry it up for your family. You can serve with rice and beans or other Tex-Mex inspired sides.
Ingredients
1 lb
chicken breast 1 T
chili powder 1 t
cumin 1 t
garlic powder 1⁄2 t
salt 2 T
olive oilInstructions
Cut chicken breasts lengthwise in halves to create thinner cutlets. Place the spices and olive oil in a ziplock bag. Once the bag is firmly closed shake the bag to make sure the spices spread onto all of the chicken. Marinate with the chicken for 20 minutes. (You can skip marinating if you are short on time)
Cook on medium heat until the chicken is cooked through about 10 minutes on each side.
