Description
Classic mandarin orange salad
Ingredients
1⁄2 c
sliced almonds 1
head romaine lettuce 1 c
celery (chopped) 2
green onions 1 cn
(11-ounce) mandarin oranges 4 oz
mushrooms (sliced, optional) 1⁄2 t
salt 1 ds
pepper 1⁄4 c
vegetable oil 1 T
parsley (chopped) 2 T
sugar 2 T
vinegar 1 ds
tobascoInstructions
Salad
1) In a pan cook sliced almonds in in sugar and a butter until toasted. Set aside to cool.
2) Mix lettuce, celery, onions and mushrooms in a large bowl.
3) Just before serving add almonds and oranges.
Dressing
1) Mix the salt, pepper, vegetable oil, parsley, sugar, vinegar, and tobasco.
